Our Customers

Ingenieros Consultores Barenton's goal is to facilitate communication. That objective requires more than simply offering creative services. We must understand our customer and our customers' needs. Therefore, we become acquainted with you primarily through the information you provide to us when contracting for or using our services. The information you provide ranges from basic contact and payment information to technical coordinates of your host servers. All of the information we request from you when purchasing our services is obligatory unless otherwise noted on the relevant data input. When you purchase our services, you agree to provide and maintain accurate, complete, and updated information.

After you have contracted for our services, we may communicate with you about your account or questions you may have about our services. Those communications are essential to our ability to provide you with quality services responsive to your needs. Further, those communications give us helpful insights about you, your preferences, and how we might improve our services. We, therefore, may maintain this information for future use. Additionally, for operational and quality-assurance purposes, we note whether and how you use information and services that we provide. This may include recording site traffic patterns or maintaining log files of users' access to site files. Finally, in order to provide our interactive services, such as e-mail services or message boards, we store your messages to or from other people. That information we receive from or about you is stored on systems designed to prevent the loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction of that information. We may also encrypt your transmission of selective information to us (e.g., credit card numbers, account passwords) in the interest of heightened privacy protection and information integrity.

As a domain name registrar reseller, we must help compile and help maintain a publicly accessible registration database that includes basic information about each domain name registered with us, including the names, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses of individuals designated as points of contact for a given domain name. Whether or not applicable domain name registration fees have been paid is also publicly accessible. With the continued privatization of the Domain Name System, and consistent with the rules or policies applicable to that system or to comply with any changes in law or regulation, if appropriate, we may restrict the accessibility and amount of personally identifying information available in the registration database. Information Corrections or Changes

You may correct or change certain information in our records, such as your address and contact information. Changes may be mailed to us or sent via email subject "ATTN: Information Correction." You may change this information as often as necessary. For assistance or have questions about correcting information, you can contact us via e-mail at service@servidoresvirtuales.com.

How We May Use Your Information

We may use your information to monitor and improve our internal operations, as well as to ensure that we
  • Bill you properly.
  • Administer your account in accordance with your agreements with us.
  • Properly perform the services you have requested.
Additionally, such information may be used to improve our users' experience of our network sites. For example, we may correlate website traffic information with data about individual users or statistically break down overall usage by customers' domain names, browser types, and/or MIME types via the browser string (information contained in every user's browser).
Certain information, such as passwords and e-mail addresses, is collected in order to, among other things, verify your identity and for use as account numbers in our record system. In the future, if you decide to purchase any value-added services we may offer, then we will need to collect certain financial information, such as your credit card number, credit card expiration date, and billing address ("Financial Information"). Financial Information that is collected is used to check your qualifications for registration, to bill you for products and services, and for other purposes. We do not share Financial Information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to provide you with the value-added service.

Finally, we use collected information to direct important notices and information affecting your account or services. The information helps us to provide general resources that may be of interest to you, including newsletters, surveys, and our service or product offerings or those of our business affiliates. You may opt not to receive information from us simply by notifying us of your desire in accordance with the opt-out instructions contained in any information message you receive from us. Note, however, in order to fulfill our service obligations to you, we must continue sending you notices and other important information affecting your account or services.

With Whom We May Share Information

When you register or reserve a domain name through us, we must disclose your domain name and its associated Internet Protocol ("IP") numbers to the appropriate registry in order to make your chosen domain name a functional address on the Internet. Consistent with the current rules and policies for the Domain Name System, we also discloses the TLD zone files to other interested persons, provided those persons agree, among other things, not to use the TLD zone files for improper purposes including the transmission of unsolicited commercial e-mail.

We may share certain information about you with those of our vendors who are responsible for handling your account or performing other necessary services that you require. We may share selective financial information (i.e., credit card numbers, banking information), security information (e.g., account passwords) and personal communications (e.g., personal e-mail messages or message board postings) with such vendors where necessary and appropriate. Ingenieros Consultores Barenton cannot ensure that all of your personally identifiable information will never be disclosed in ways not described in this Privacy Policy. However, we will not share such information with other third parties, except in response to formal requests (e.g., subpoena or court order) made in connection with litigation or arbitration proceedings directly relating to a domain name registration or other services we provide.

As noted above, our we currently makes certain information about you available to the general public via domain name registration database look- up and directory services. These services give users access to such data on a query-by-query basis.

Additionally, we may share the information stored on that database, as well as other information that is not of a selective nature, with carefully selected business partners, including those who offer services that complement those we provide or which may otherwise be of interest to you. If you do not want us to share your information with our business partners, you may send us an e-mail at
service@servidoresvirtuales.com. Include the words "remove domain" in the subject line of the e-mail and all the domain names for which you are the registrant in the body of the e-mail. Please note, however, consistent with the current rules and policies for the Domain Name System, that information about you must remain available in the publicly accessible registration database. Currently Ingenieros Consultores Barenton has no partners with whom we share information other than to facilitate service/s you have requested. In the future, should you receive email from anyone claiming to be a partner of Ingenieros Consultores Barenton who does not include a link to our partner members list statement, (where such verifications would exist), please forward that information to service@servidoresvirtuales.com. Further, this website contains links to other sites. Ingenieros Consultores Barenton is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites.
